Fishing along the Wyrley & Essington Canal

Improvements in both water quality and bankside vegetation combined with fish restocking means that much of the waterway provides excellent fishing for roach, bream, perch and carp. A relatively shallow canal, with turning bays at Cannock, the Wyrley & Essington provides good bream catches. The fishing rights are controlled by Pelsall Angling Club, Fisheries Manager (01922 683234).
