The Angel Canal Festival

With it's illustrious history as one of the London network's biggest and best waterside festivals, this event in Islington is not to be missed.

The annual festival aims to celebrate the Regent's Canal and is based around City Road Lock and basin, and along the towpath to Packington Park.

There promises to be something for everyone, with a variety of stalls, fun-fair rides, live music, hawk and owl displays, bee keepers, a climbing tower, and community boats. As well as plenty of food and refreshments, and opportunities for relaxation with boat trips running through the Islington Tunnel to the London Canal Museum.

Out on the water there will be a regatta and a bell-boat race between local community groups, as well as displays by Islington Boat Club.
