Bird ringing at Rye Meads

Join the Rye Meads Nature Reserve’s Ringing Group and see birds close up as they are measured and fitted with rings so that their movements can be tracked.

You will also be able to see how birds are aged and sexed. All bird ringing is carried out by qualified ringers. This event runs from 7am – 9am, please note that ringing is dependent on good weather.

This event is free for RSPB members, for non-members prices are as follows - adult £4, child or concessionary £2.50 and family £7 – join the RSPB at Rye Meads on the day, and your event fee will be refunded.
