A family enjoying a picnic at Trent Lock

Erewash Canal festival

24 August 2008 – 24 August 2008

Trent Lock
Long Eaton
Nottingham
Nottinghamshire

The Erewash Canal Festival is back for its second year, and this time the festivities move to scenic Trent Lock.

A wide range of activities are set to be laid on, with the aim of promoting the Erewash Canal and the local area, including a steamboat display and a variety of visiting boats and barges. Get out onto the water and enjoy a boat trip, or wander round the arts and crafts and local produce stalls at your leisure.

Children will love investigating the sweet stalls and the face painting or taking part in the treasure hunt alongside the canal. Whilst the Nottingham Model Boat Society and the canalware decoration workshops will keep adults happy. In fact, there’s something for the whole family here!

This event runs from 10.30am – 5.30pm and admission is free.
