Visit Gloucester Docks this weekend for two days of swashbuckling fun and adventure, including pirate ships and sword fights!
Pirates Weekend promises to be great fun for all the family with attractions such as pistol and sword fights, a long boat battle on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal, and a pirate tall ship complete with crew.
On the Saturday visitors will get the chance to actually board a pirate ship, and take an historic tour of the docks. Folk and shanty music will provide the background entertainment and an HMS Nelsonian Cutter will also be patrolling the waters around Gloucester Docks.
Sunday will also be packed full of great activities for kids, with screenings of the Pirates of the Carribean films, pirate story-telling, treasure hunts, a fancy dress competition, and even a visit from Captain Jack Sparrow.
Pirates Weekend runs from 11am - 4pm on both days, and is free. For more information contact 01452 396572.
