The annual Etruria Canals Festival will be held at Etruria Industrial Museum, in the heart of the Potteries, at the junction of the Trent & Mersey and Caldon canals.

Each summer, thousands of local families and canal enthusiasts from further afield enjoy a colourful mix of boats, engines, crafts, classic vehicles, music, fairground rides, children's activities, community stands and more.

The event also marks the first steaming weekend of the season, when the museum's historic 1820s beam engine Princess and the rest of Jesse Shirley's Etruscan Bone & Flint Mill can be seen in action. The star attraction this year is the famous steam narrowboat, President who'll be joining us as part of her 100th birthday celebrations!

This year, Canals for the Community will also be running a supervised Cycle Shuttle Service from Westport Lake to the festival. The first ride will leave from Westport Lake car park at 10am, and then at regular intervals to and from the festival. Download the Cycle Shuttle Service leaflet for more informtaion.

The festival takes place on 30 and 31 May from 10am until 5pm. Admission is free and all canal users are invited to participate as individuals, families or societies.
