From the 16th to 20th June, the Caledonian Canal will be buzzing with even more activity!
Welcome to The Crossing - a unique five day flotilla event spanning the entire length of the Caledonian Canal.
Join us for a spectacular five-day celebration of this unique canal and follow the flotilla as we travel West to East, from Neptune's Staircase at Banavie near Fort William to Muirtown Basin in Inverness.
There will be plenty of opportunities to join in as the flotilla stops along the route with an exciting programme of entertainment including storytelling, traditional music, street theatre, children's activities and ceilidhs as well as opportunities to try water activities on the canal. With many events free, The Crossing will end with a spectacular finale when it reaches Muirtown Basin in Inverness.
Part of Homecoming Scotland year of celebrations, The Crossing celebrates the history of the Caledonian Canal, its many influences on Highland life, local communities and the culture of the area.
