Keep the kids entertained this half term with a trip to Museum in Docklands.

A whole programme of fun and entertainment has been laid on, which will help to keep boredom at bay, and adults enjoy free entry from 13 – 14 February. Keep reading to find out what events are taking place:

Drum making, Saturday 13 February

Learn about different types of drum, then have fun making your own out of recycled materials. This event is suitable for 5+ years and is free (tickets will be allocated on arrival). The workshops take place from 12.30pm – 1.15pm and again from 2.30pm – 3.15pm.

Paper cooking, Monday 15 February

An event for little ones (2+ yrs), here children can use lots of creative materials to make paper food and exotic dishes from all over the world. They can learn about real food that can be found in London today and try to guess where it came from. A hands-on, creative workshop for under 5s. This event is free (tickets will be allocated on arrival). The workshops take place from 11am - 11.30pm, 12pm - 12.30pm, and again from 2pm - 2.30pm.

Transforming objects, Tuesday 16 & Saturday 20 February

Discover some of the more unusual objects in the museum's collections and give them a new life using collage and computer animation techniques. This free event is suitable for 6+ years and takes place from 12.30pm - 3.30pm.

Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Wednesday 17 February

Meet Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the great engineer of bridges, ships and much more. This event is suitable for children aged 6+ years, and is free. Children can meet Brunel from 12.30pm - 1pm, 2.30pm - 3pm, and 3.30pm - 4pm.

The jester's dream, Friday 19 February

Learn the story of Rahere, the boy who grew up to start one of the world's most famous hospitals. This free event is suitable for children aged 2+ years and takes place from 12.30pm - 1pm, 2.30pm - 3pm and 3.30pm - 4pm.
