Harlow Council have organised a series of Life Walks along the River Stort.

The walks are between 2.5 and 3 miles long, and will last approximately 45 mins to an hour. Places cost £1.50, or 50p for residents of Harlow with the C-category Leisure card.

Details of the walks are as follows:

Tuesday 1 December, 2pm
Route Name: Stort — Parndon Mill & Maymeads Marsh
Meet: Burnt Mill Lane car park
Features: riverside, marshes & sculptures
Distance: 2.42 miles
Description: mostly flat, some bridges & gravel/earth paths

Saturday 19 December, 10am
Route Name: River Stort — Latton Lock
Meet: river way car park
Features: riverside & sculptures
Distance: 1.90 miles
Description: mostly flat footpaths

Saturday 9 January, 10am
Route Name: River Stort — The Marshes
Meet: Burnt Mill Lane car park
Features: riverside, marshes & woodland
Distance: 2.89 miles
Description: A few long steep inclines/declines and a few mild slopes. Mostly gravel/earth paths

Saturday 23 January, 10am
Route Name: River Stort — Harlow Mill Bridge
Meet: river way car park
Features: riverside & sculptures
Distance: 2.20 miles
Description: mostly flat

Wednesday 3 February, 10am
Route Name: Stort — Parndon Mill & Maymeads Marsh
