Children's wildlife competition
For the second year running British Waterways held a separate children's wildlife competition as part of the wildlife survey. However, this year there was a slight twist.
All children aged 14 and under were encouraged to not only send in their wildlife photographs, but also their colourful drawings or paintings of any wildlife spotted on or near their local canal or river.
The entries waterscape received were of an excellent standard, and a £50 voucher was awarded to the winner of the photo competition and to the winner of the drawing category.
