The celebrations of the Kennet & Avon Canal’s bicentenary aim to reflect and embrace the many different groups and communities who have made the waterway such a vital aspect of their local landscape.

They should also reach out to those who have yet to discover the canal in their community, or as a destination from further a-field. Activities should offer an opportunity to find out more, enjoy and explore the Kennet & Avon both in this landmark year and beyond.
