Robin

One of our best loved birds, particularly around Christmas, the robin can be found anywhere in the UK and at all times of year. Its diet often leads it to gardens, hedgerows and parks.

Robins can be heard singing all year round and all day long. Their song varies depending on what time of the year it is and it is not uncommon to hear them singing in the middle of the night.

Despite their small size, robins are incredibly territorial and can be prepared to defend their territories to the death.
