The Waterways Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Bell as its new development manager for the Montgomery Canal.

Kevin Bell is The Waterway Trust's new development manager

Kevin will work closely with British Waterways’ Northwich team, fundraising for the restoration of this historic waterway.

Previously, he was assistant director of development and regeneration for Northern Counties Housing Association. He also has experience in estates management and has worked as a Countryside Ranger.

Roger Hanbury, chief executive of The Waterways Trust, said: "This is a busy time for The Waterways Trust, with a wide range of restoration, community, volunteering and education projects underway. Kevin will play a key role in identifying partners, funders and funding streams necessary to see the restoration of the Montgomery Canal through to completion."

Kevin Bell said: “I am delighted to join The Waterways Trust and look forward to working with British Waterways and the Montgomery Canal Partnership to help create a sustainable future for the Montgomery Canal.”
