Early camping deals available for National Festival
Calling all campers: would you like to camp in a prestigious location alongside the River Thames, for a ridiculously low price?
The campsite at the National Festival & Boat Show will now open on Monday, 23 August 2010 which gives campers three extra days in which to enjoy this beautiful part of Berkshire, adjacent to the lovely River Thames. At a nightly cost of only £8, this represents fantastic value and if campers need electrical hook-up it will be available at an additional charge of only £2.50 per night.
Other incentives to arrive early include: £3 off each adult entry to Beale Park itself – a lovely wildlife park and children’s activity area; 10% off admission to the Didcot Steam Railway which is just a short drive away; and the chance to go into the UK Boat Hire Prize Draw to win a luxury waterways holiday. Even if visitors don’t win, they will still receive a Voucher worth £100 off a week’s holiday, or £50 off a short break. You just can’t lose!
Festival Campsite booking forms can be downloaded from the Festival website, www.waterways.org.uk or campers can book on line. Don’t forget that the Festival booking fee includes all daytime and evening entertainment and there are great savings to be made by booking before 31 July 2010.*
IWA’s Beale Park Festival & Boat Show will take place alongside the Beale Park estate, Lower Basildon, Berkshire on the River Thames over the August Bank Holiday weekend, 28 – 30 August 2010 and is a great three day celebration of the inland waterways.
Attracting up to 600 visiting craft, including many historic vessels, with hundreds of trade exhibitors and live entertainment, the National Festival is a great day out for everyone. The 2010 National will also celebrate the Centenary of the birth of Tom Rolt, one of IWA’s founding fathers who was passionate about waterways, steam railways and vintage cars and the organisers hope to reflect this during the Festival.
- EARLY CAMPING will be available at Beale Park from Monday 23rd August at a nightly cost of £8.00. Electricity hookup will also be available at a small extra charge of £2.50 per night (the cost for the five days over the Festival period is £32.00) If you would like early camping and electrical hook-up for the whole period please send notification and payment to: Entries Officer, 38 Waterside Court, Gnosall, Staffordshire ST20 0AR.
