Open weekend at Aqua Narrowboats

Discover how narrowboats are crafted at the Aqua Narowboats open weekend on 6 and 7 March at Mercia Marina, Willington in celebration of their new boat sponsorship scheme.

Visitors will be able to view the current boat build, step aboard hire boats and admire a bespoke boat with beautiful interior craftsmanship. The team will be on hand to answer questions about boat building, hiring narrowboats and their new sponsorship scheme.

Aqua Narrowboat Hire has been operating since April 2004 and steadily expanded over the years, now operating 3 departments of hire boats, bespoke boat building and boat maintenance and repairs. The company is committed to developing local talent and last summer employed an apprentice from the local village of Findern to train as a boat builder.

Opportunity to buy a boat - and make money too

The boat sponsorship scheme is an opportunity for customers to buy a boat and make money too by agreeing for the boat to be put into the hire fleet and getting a return.
