Cambridge

Renowned for its ancient university, historic bridges and picturesque river thronged with punts, Cambridge is a delightful city with a cheerful air.

Punting along the River Cam is the best way to explore Cambridge – preferably with a glass of Pimms in hand. Admire the ornate colleges (the Backs) and take note of the beautiful bridges which cross the Cam with some regularity. The River Cam has a busy boating community, particularly in Cambridge itself, where there are liveaboard vessels of all shapes and sizes adding further interest to your cruise.

As well as a plethora of boats, the River Cam through Cambridge is also thronged with walkers, joggers and people simply standing (or sitting) around and enjoying the view of the busy river. For Cambridge residents, walking along the Cam is a pleasant way to get around the city – and certainly a scenic diversion after a hard day in the office.
