An elegant Georgian house, Dunham Massey is surrounded by a stunning 200 acre estate and is home to an extraordinary collection of 18th century furniture, paintings and exquisite Hugenot silver.
The house was built around two splendid courtyards, one cobbled and the other centred around a fountain and garden.
Lovingly decorated by the 9th Earl of Warrington after it had been empty for many years, the graceful Edwardian decor has been kept in the same elegant way that the Earl and his wife desired.
Servants quarters have been restored to show what life was really like working for the various Earls of Warrington.
Dunham Massey has possibly one of the North West's most magnificent gardens. Visitors can enjoy the stunning borders and magnificent trees, an orangery and a Victorian bark house. A magnificent deer park, whose oldest records date back to 1362, surrounds the house and you can enjoy a relaxing walk alongside the ponds.
The house was eventually donated to the National Trust in 1976 by the Earl of Stamford.
