See the world's largest floating collection of historic inland waterways craft.

The unique setting of Ellesmere Port's dock complex houses the national museum dedicated to inland boats. The National Waterways Museum has a very 'hands on' feel. You can explore the confines of a boatman's cabin, play with the wide variety of engines that powered the boats around the waterways, and discover more about canal life with interactive displays. Stepping aboard the wide variety of boats gives you a fascinating insight into the 18th century way of life.

Facilities include a cafe, WC with parent & baby room, and wheelchair access to main exhibitions.
