A 18 acre Victorian park, Fell Foot is a relaxing and enjoyable day out for all the family. Whether you want to delight in an amazing variety of colourful flowers, take in the stunning views if the Lakeland fells, discover some wildlife, hire a rowing boat or let the children let of some steam on the adventure playground, the park boasts something for everyone, young and old.

Fell Foot was once a private house and grand estate owned by Jeremiah Dixon, the Mayor of Leeds. The estate was bought by Colonel Ridelaugh in 1859, who built a number of boat houses along the edge of the water.

The house was later destroyed in 1907 to makeway for a much more magnificent house. Unfortunately, only the foundations managed to be laid before the owner died.

Visitors today can still see the boathouses and the National Trust is working to restore the gardens to their previous Victorian splendour.
