For any plants lover, Acorn Bank Garden & Watermill is ideal. It is home to a large collection of medicinal and culinary plants, as well as a herb garden and an orchid which boasts rare fruit trees. There is also a Wild Garden to discover.

Sheltered from the varied Cumbrian climate by high walls and ancient oaks, the enclosed environment has resulted in a stunning display of roses, shrubs and flowerbeds.

Visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy a number of walks through woodland and by Crowdundle Beck. The name 'Acorn Bank' actually comes from an ancient oak wood, which shades the path from the garden down to the beck.
