Tewkesbury
Tewkesbury is where the River Severn meets the River Avon.
Tewkesbury is best known for its Abbey and being the site of the decisive battle in the Wars of the Roses.
Crammed with medieval architecture and fascinating alleyways, look out for the fantastic new heritage centre by the war memorial and sample the delights of the 1471 deli right alongside.
On fine days you can take a walk along the Mill Avon, across the commonland to the River Severn or even catch the ferry to the Lower Lode Inn.
