Uppermill
The small town of Uppermill is a popular tourist venue.
Saddleworth TIC, Museum and Art Gallery are based in a converted mill on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. This is also the starting point for the Pennine Moonraker trip boat operated by Saddleworth Canal Cruises. Alexandra Craft Centre, also in Uppermill is a converted woollen mill. This centre has a wide range of arts and crafts including designer jewellery, canal ware, original art, furniture and stained glass plus gift shops and cafe to relax in.
