This compact 14-lock flight lifts the canal over 95ft in pretty short order. From the top lock the canal passes through a significant 1 -mile 70ft-deep cutting. Access is limited - the north side of the canal being part of the Deepcut Army base. The Mychett Canal Centre is close by, a focus for water-based activities including boating and rowing. There is also a caravan site.
