No stay in Herefordshire would be complete without a visit to the historic cathedral in Hereford - one of the oldest in England. If fresh air is more the order of the day, how about a trip to one of the many gardens that lie close to the river, such as Brobury House or How Caple Court? Hay on Wye is an attractive town with interesting shops and numerous captivating second-hand book shops while Goodrich Castle towers over the Wye near Symonds Yat.
