Walking near Tring

The towpaths of the River Lee and River Stort provide a continuous, traffic free route through rural countryside, rich industrial and urban green space. There are many circular walks linking the towpath and surrounding countryside, usually signposted with distinctive waymarkers. The towpath of the Grand Union Canal provides a pleasant walk through increasingly rural surroundings – and ideally placed train stations allow you to put your feet up on the return journey.
