Banavie

Banavie is a small village which lies alongside the Caledonian Canal about 4 miles from Fort William town centre.

The scenery around Banavie is spectacular with Ben Nevis dominating the skyline. The Caledonian Canal passes through the village at Neptune's Staircase, where you can watch vessels navigate the eight locks.

The Great Glen Way walk passes through the village as walkers take the old tow-path route along the canal bank to Gairlochy.
