Corpach

Just around the corner from the bustling town of Fort William on the north shore of Loch Linnhe lies Corpach.

This beautiful town is not only home to the entrance of the Caledonian Canal it is also one of the best places to marvel at the impressive Ben Nevis, which towers 4406ft above sea level.

From the early 1800s right through to present day, the town has provided the ideal place for visitors to start their waterways experience. Paddle steamers brought the Victorians in their droves while cabin cruisers and yachts sail the canal today.

Due to its popularity the town is well placed to provide visitors with everything they need for their journey into the Highlands and because it is situated in the Great Glen, the greatest geological fault line in Scotland, there is a fantastic geological museum The Treasures of the Earth to visit.
