Fishing near Fort Augustus

Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a quiet afternoon’s fishing in the panoramic calm of the Highlands.

The Caledonian Canal and its lochs - Loch Lochy, Loch Oich, Loch Ness and Loch Dochfour - are in general excellent for salmon and sea trout. The best months are July, August and Sept, but anytime between May and October is good.

The season is slightly longer at Loch Tummel, where fishing from the bank is permitted from 15 March until 6 October.

Unfortunately we don’t currently have any information on fishing and fisheries.
