Gairlochy itself is little more than a little cluster of cottages and a farmhouse, where the Caledonian Canal meets Loch Lochy.
Cyclists can join the Great Glen Cycle way at Gairlochy. This challenging route follows the course of the Caledonian Canal, passing through forest glades, quiet country roads and alongside mythical lochs.
