Built on the site of an earlier fortress in 1835, Inverness Castle dominates the town of Inverness from its impressive position overlooking the River Ness. Journey back in time to 1745 at the Castle Garrison Encounter, open daily during the tourist season. The Castle today houses the Sheriff Court.
