Maidstone Museum & Bentlif Art Gallery

Chillington Manor is the home of one of the South East's finest museums and art galleries. The house itself is a stunning example of Elizabethan architecture. The museum holds a wide range of fascinating artefacts, including a 2,500 year-old Egyptian mummy, Victoriana, the Lambeth Bible and archaeological finds dating back to the Stone Age. The Museum is also the homeof The Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regimental Museum and various works of art in the Bentlif Gallery.

The Museum holds regular classes and activities for adults and children and the art gallery hosts a lively and varied programme of temporary exhibitions.
