Cycling in Leicestershire

Cycling is a very pleasant way to explore Leicestershire's varied landscape. Cycle along the towpath of the River Soar passing by attractive villages, admiring quiet river meadows and enjoying the company of swans and mallards as you make your way through the county. Ambitious cyclists can avoid the rush hour traffic and cycle in Leicester on this route. Similarly, the towpath of the Grand Union Canal Leicester Line is open to considerate cyclists making their way into Market Harborough.
