Lincoln

Enjoying a delightful waterside location at the junction of the Fossdyke Navigation and River Witham, Lincoln is an attractive place to live, work and visit.

Once the third city of the realm, Lincoln is today known for its vast and ancient Cathedral. It towers over the town and is surrounded by the oldest quarter with its quaint buildings and narrow cobbled streets. The remains of Lincoln Castle, built for William the Conqueror in the 11th century, stand nearby.

Brayford Pool is a large expanse of water at the junction of the Fossdyke and Witham Navigations in the centre of Lincoln. Today the Pool hosts a boatyard, marina and boat club. Just east of Brayford Pool, on the Witham Navigation, the canal passes through the heart of Victorian Lincoln and through the Glory Hole - where an ancient half-timbered building is actually over the canal.

Walking to work in Lincoln
Commuters arriving at Lincoln Central Station are well met by the winding River Witham, offering a not-to-be-missed opportunity to work to work along the towpath. Many of Lincoln’s offices are situated near the Glory Hole and Brayford Pool, making lunchtime strolls that bit more interesting.
