Walking in Lincolnshire

The flatness of the Lincolnshire landscape means that areas surrounding the waterways provide easy walking conditions.

Walkers can follow the towpath for the 11 mile stretch of the Fossdyke Navigation – past plenty of pubs to keep hunger and thirst at bay. Enjoyable walks can be had in the Boston area of the River Witham, around Chapel Hill and Kyme Eau, and of course, historic Lincoln. If you fancy an afternoon’s ramble, in the truest sense of the word, head for the Sleaford Navigation.
