Visitors to the Houses of Parliament are able to see the historic building, including the chambers of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords with tours which take place throughout the building. Groups of 25 are taken by Blue Badge qualified guides.
In addition, Line of Route tours are available to UK residents (individuals and educational institutions) on a Monday morning and on Fridays - during session or recess. These need to be organised through your Member of Parliament.
Members of the Public are also admitted to the Strangers' Gallery to watch debates during session. Available times are:
House of Commons:
- 14.30 - 22.30 or later on Mondays
- 11.30 - 19.30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- 11.30 - 18.30 on Thursdays
- 09.30 - 15.00 on sitting Fridays,
House of Lords:
- From 14.30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- From 11.00 on Thursdays
- Occasionally on sitting Fridays
