This historic site is associated with signing of the Magna Carta, sealed by King John in June 1215.

The area contains meadow and woodland, rich in flora and fauna. A memorial erected by the American Bar Association commemorating the Magna Carta signing erected in the 1950's stand along with a memorial to John F. Kennedy. Also here are the Fairhaven Lodges, designed by Lutyens.

Runnymede is an ideal picnic location, with meadows running down to the Thames. There are three self guided walks - and guides are available from the tearoom which is open all year round, the gallery and the Information Office.

The gallery is open throughout summer with artists changing weekly - free entry.

Mooring, fishing and car parking fees apply.
