The Cathedral is located near London Bridge on the South Bank of the River Thames,on a site occupied by a Church for over one thousand years. The main structure of today's church was built between 1220 and 1420.
Nonetheless, the Cathedral is used by many thousands of people each year and is the setting for a wide variety of services and other events.It has a fine musical tradition with both male and girls' choirs who sing evensong and sunday services.
The Visitor Centre and Exhibition uses the latest technology and multi-media techniques to give visitors an amazing view of London across the River Thames and of the local area.
