Chisenhale Gallery

This historic gallery, situated in a former paper-making factory, showcases contemporary modern art from the local community and artists in the early stages of their careers.

It’s the ideal place for those who fancy taking in a little culture, and its location near Bow Wharf means it’s close to many other attractions, as well as places to eat and drink.

Chisenhale Gallery commissions five exhibitions each year, so the artwork on display is frequently fresh and new. Or if you fancy having a go at some artwork yourself, take part in one of the gallery’s artist-led workshops that are aimed towards community groups and schools.

The gallery is open Wednesday – Sunday, from 1pm until 6pm, and admission is free.
