Maryhill

The Forth & Clyde Canal is an attractive green corridor running through Maryhill and into Glasgow.

Locals can make good use of this green space by leaving the car at home and walking along the canal to Maryhill station or cycling to the shops. The Forth & Clyde Canal skirts Dawnsholm Park – a popular weekend destination. Take to the towpath and clock up your recommended 30 minutes of exercise on your way there.

The Forth & Clyde Canal is itself a pleasant place to while away an afternoon. Join the gongoozlers watching the boats pass through the Maryhill flight, or walk down to the River Kelvin and admire the majestic Kelvin Aqueduct.
