The famous Broxburn icicle formed on this aqueduct in 1895. It reached a height of 22.8m (75ft). The height of the aqueduct above water level is 23.16m (76ft).
Ratho
A small, attractive village on the Union Canal. The Bridge Inn provides boat trips along to the Almond Aqueduct some 4.8km (3 miles) to the west.
