Located between Linlithgow and Linlithgow Loch, the Palace is magnificent both to look at and explore. The many rooms, passages and stairways mean that it is very easy to get lost when exploring the 12th Century castle.

Linlithgow Palace has played host to, many royal inhabitants, the earliest believed to have been Edward II in 1310.

An impressive 15th Century fortress surrounds the castle, which includes a great hall, chapel and courtyard.

The castle is, perhaps, best known for being the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots in 1542.
