Places to go in North Wales
North Wales is largely the preserve of the outdoors enthusiast.
This is the place to come if you get your kicks from walking, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking – indeed simply ‘being’ in the great outdoors. Hard core adventurers should head for Canolfan Tryweryn, in the picturesque heart of North Wales, with its unique year-round white water course. Immerse yourself in the white water experience or simply take a riverside walk on the clearly waymarked trails.
And for the odd rainy day? Plas Newydd, in the midst of breathtaking Snowdonia, is a lovely 18th century house built by James Wyatt – perfect for whiling away an afternoon indoors.
