Formerly known as the 'Apricot Village' because Squire Cartwright encouraged his tenants to grow apricot trees, although locals no longer market the fruit. There is an attractive walk from Aynho across the fields to Kings Sutton, and another from Aynho to Rainsborough hill fort.

Aynho is just a mile east of the Oxford Canal at Aynho Wharf. You can eat at the Cartwright Arms in the village.
