Walking near Nottingham
Ambitious walkers are well catered for in Nottinghamshire - the Trent Valley Way follows the river through Nottinghamshire, from Thrumpton to West Stockwith. Shorter strolls can be enjoyed around the Erewash Canal and also along the River Trent through Nottingham.
The charmingly named ‘Cuckoo Way’ follows the Chesterfield Canal, encouraging walkers to explore the line’s meadows and woods. Take your camera for the approach to Shireoaks Tunnel, which is known for its beauty.
