An innovative exhibition and gallery space in an award-winning and sensitively designed modern building on the banks of the Thames at Henley.
The museum has two main galleries devoted to the history of the River Thames and to the sport of rowing. A third gallery shows temporary exhibitions. A charming riverside caf offers coffee, lunch, snacks and home-made cakes & teas. There is also a gift shop, education centre, library and function rooms. Parking is free.
Since its opening in 1998 the museum has won a number of awards both for its architectural design and for its museum presentations. Voted National Heritage/NPI Museum of The Year 1999.
