Fishing in Powys

Though not ideal boating territory, the peaceful Montgomery Canal is a haven for anglers. Most stretches will yield a catch of large tench, roach, bream, perch and pike. There are also carp, dace, rudd and crucian carp in the recently restored northern section of the canal.

Similarly, the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal offers a secluded location for relaxed angling year-round.

Pysgota ym Mhowys

Er nad yw’n ddelfrydol ar gyfer teithio mewn cwch, mae Camlas Maldwyn yn hafan i bysgotwyr. Mae’n bosibl dal sgretenod, rhufelliaid, merfogiaid, draenogiaid d?r croyw a phenhwyaid mawr ar y rhan fwyaf o’r gamlas. Yn ogystal, mae carp, dars, pysgod rhudd a byrbysgod yn byw yn narn gogleddol y gamlas sydd newydd ei adnewyddu.

Yn yr un modd, mae Camlas Mynwy ac Aberhonddu yn lleoliad perffaith ar gyfer pysgota hamddenol drwy’r flwyddyn.
