Good fish stocks abound in Shropshire. Unnavigable sections of the Montgomery Canal are ideal for peaceful fishing: roach perch and gudgeon are plentiful, with small specimens easy to tempt in the summer. More competitive anglers should head for the [/canals-and-rivers/shropshire-union-canal Shropshire Union Canal and put their skills to use in locating larger fish.
