Walking in Shropshire

One of the best ways to discover the peaceful Shropshire countryside is on foot.

Walkers have the best of the tranquil Montgomery Canal and can wander uninterrupted through scenery which is almost entirely rural. All but a small section of the Shropshire Union Canal towpath is walkable, and the surrounding countryside is delightful. Excellent country pubs serve hearty fare to help you on your way, and stunning views keep you keen to see what lies beyond the brow of the next hill.
