Quaint hall house in an old-world village.
Benedictine monks settled in the charming village of Mulchaney in the mid 10th century. Sadly, little remains of the once magnificent abbey church, but the house built in 1308 for the parish priest still stands as a solid example of a late medieval hall house. Architectural features such as the Gothic doorway, tracery windows and a substantial 15th-century stone fireplace add to the period charm.
