Places to go near Cardiff

Dramatic ruins, fairy tale fortresses and scenic beauty spots are par for the course in South west Wales.

December is the perfect time of year to visit Bethlehem (in Carmarthenshire that is). The towers of Cilgerran Castle, the Teifi Valley Railway and the spectacular waterfalls which dot the region can be admired whatever the season.
